Legal Notice, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Anti-Spam Policy (Quarero AG)
1. General Information
Quarero AG (“Quarero”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) conducts its business with transparency, integrity, and respect for privacy. This Legal Notice and Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you visit www.quarerorobotics.com or otherwise interact with us. Quarero operates within a group of independent entities. Each entity is a separate legal person and is responsible for its own services, compliance obligations, and client relationships. This structure is intended to ensure accountability within each jurisdiction where we operate.
For the purposes of European data protection law and Swiss data protection law, the “data controller” is the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data collected via this website. Unless a different controller is expressly named in a specific interaction or document, the controller designated for this website is:
Tactical Management Ltd
RM I 203, 12/F Tower 3, China Hong Kong City
33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Tel: +852 2157 8700
Email: report@tacticalmanagement.ae
All requests concerning privacy, your personal data, or this notice may be addressed to the controller via the contact details above.
2. Compliance with Data Protection Laws
Quarero processes personal data in line with Swiss law and, where applicable, EU law. In Switzerland, we comply with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG, in force since 2023) and the implementing Ordinance to the FADP (OFADP/DSV). For users located in the European Union or wherever the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) applies extraterritorially (for example, where our activities target EU data subjects), we align our processing with the GDPR. Where relevant, we also observe the UK Data Protection Act 2018 for UK-based data subjects.
Because our services include online features and electronic communications, we follow European principles drawn from the ePrivacy regime for cookie consent and marketing practices and, in Switzerland, we align with the Unfair Competition Act (UCA/UWG) and telecommunication rules governing unsolicited communications and transparency obligations for online service providers. Where cross-border data transfers are involved, we rely on mechanisms recognized by the FDPIC (Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner) and, for the EU, by the European Commission.
3. Categories of Personal Data Collected
We collect data that you provide directly, such as your name, role or job title, company affiliation, email address, telephone number, postal address, and any information included in forms, registrations, support queries, or correspondence. This information enables us to respond to requests, provide services, manage relationships, and comply with legal obligations.
When you visit our website, we also obtain technical data generated by your device or browser. This may include your IP address, device identifiers, operating system and browser version, time and duration of access, and how you navigate or interact with our pages. Such data is typically collected through cookies and similar technologies. While strictly necessary cookies support core functionality and do not require consent, analytics or marketing cookies are only used with your prior consent in jurisdictions where consent is required. We endeavor to present clear choices and controls so you can manage your preferences.
In some cases, we may receive personal data about you from third parties (for example, business partners, service providers, or public sources) for legitimate purposes consistent with this notice. Where data is not obtained directly from you, we provide appropriate information about the source and purpose in line with Swiss transparency rules and, where applicable, Articles 13–14 GDPR.
4. Purposes of Processing
We process personal data to fulfill specific and legitimate purposes. The principal purpose is to respond to inquiries, provide information about our robotics and AI solutions, deliver services you request, and manage our business relationships. In many cases, this processing is necessary to perform a contract or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. We also process data to maintain and improve our website’s security and performance and to understand usage in an aggregated way, which we consider a legitimate business interest balanced against your rights.
Where we send newsletters, updates, or marketing communications, we do so in compliance with consent requirements and “opt-out” rules under Swiss law and, where applicable, EU law. You can withdraw consent or object to direct marketing at any time. We may also process data where required to meet legal obligations—for instance, financial recordkeeping, export control documentation, or other regulatory duties—and to protect our rights or address disputes.
5. Data Retention and Sharing
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in this notice or as required by law. The retention period depends on the nature of the data, the context in which it was collected, and statutory obligations for recordkeeping. When data is no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly anonymize it.
We may share personal data with carefully selected service providers who support our operations—such as hosting, cloud platforms, security, analytics, communications, or professional advisers—under binding contracts that require confidentiality and appropriate security measures. We may also share data within the group (with entities that support Quarero’s activities) where this is necessary and proportionate to the services being delivered; each entity remains responsible for its own compliance. Where required by law or legitimate request (for example, by courts or regulators), we may disclose data to authorities.
For international transfers, we follow the Swiss and EU rules on cross-border data flows. Under Swiss FADP, transfers require that the destination provides adequate protection as listed by the FDPIC or, failing that, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses recognized in Switzerland, plus any supplementary measures necessary after a transfer risk assessment. Under GDPR, we rely on adequacy decisions (Art. 45) or Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46) with any additional measures required to ensure essentially equivalent protection.
6. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to keep personal data secure against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. These safeguards include secure hosting environments, access controls, encryption in transit and/or at rest where appropriate, internal policies and confidentiality obligations, and ongoing review of our security posture. Although no online system can be guaranteed fully secure, we work continuously to mitigate risks and to respond promptly to any incidents in accordance with our legal obligations.
7. Your Rights (Switzerland and EU)
Under the Swiss FADP, you have rights including the right to receive information about how your data is processed, to request access to and rectification of personal data, to request deletion where justified, and to object to certain processing. The revised FADP also provides for data portability when processing is carried out with your consent or directly connected to a contract and the data is processed by automated means.
Where the GDPR applies to you (for example, if you are in the EU or our activities target you as an EU data subject), you have additional or equivalent rights under Articles 12–23 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
In Switzerland, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) regarding concerns. In the EU, you may lodge a complaint with your competent supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can address your request promptly and transparently.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure basic functionality and, with your permission where applicable, to perform analytics and support marketing. For visitors from jurisdictions requiring consent (e.g., EU/EEA), we display a consent banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can also manage your preferences through your browser settings or the site’s cookie controls. Some cookies are essential for security and functionality; disabling them may affect the site’s operation.
9. Children’s Privacy
Quarero’s services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details below so that we can take appropriate steps, including deletion where required by law.
10. External Links
Our website may include links to third-party sites, platforms, or services. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those third parties. We recommend that you review their privacy notices and terms of use to understand how your data will be handled when you leave our website.
11.Terms of Use
All materials available at www.quarerorobotics.com—including text, visuals, trademarks and logos, layouts, and software code—are owned by Quarero or licensed to us. These materials are protected by Swiss and international intellectual property laws, including copyright and trademark protections. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of our content without our prior written consent. The information on this site is provided for general informational purposes, without any warranty as to completeness or accuracy, and does not constitute legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Users should seek independent professional advice before acting on any information published here, especially given the inherent risks and rapid evolution associated with robotics and AI technologies.
12. Anti-Spam and Direct Marketing
Quarero adheres to Swiss and European standards for electronic communications. In Switzerland, the Unfair Competition Act (UCA/UWG) prohibits sending unsolicited commercial communications without prior consent, and requires a clear identification of the sender and an easy, no-cost way to opt out. Where EU rules apply, we follow comparable consent and opt-out principles and respect the right to object to direct marketing at any time. Our emails include a functional unsubscribe mechanism, and we prohibit the use of misleading headers, harvesting of email addresses, or any other practice that would contravene Swiss or EU law. If you believe you have received communications from us in error, please use the unsubscribe link or contact us so we can promptly resolve the issue.
13. Updates to this Notice
We may amend this notice from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, or the nature of our services. When we make material changes, we will update the version published on our website and adjust the “Last updated” date below. We encourage you to review this notice periodically to remain informed about how we protect your data.
